Who are the Freemasons?
The Freemasons are the world's oldest and largest fraternity. More than 2 million strong world wide, the masons represent a comprehensive cross section of society and are not exclusive to any social class, faith or color.

Becoming A Freemason
  • Becoming a freemason is not difficult for men of good character but it does require time and commitment.
  • We don't care what you do for a living but you should do it well and take pride in your work.
  • No one is invited to become a Freemason as it must be sought out of one's own free will.
  • It takes many months to join a Masonic lodge and before your petition could be endorsed, the brethren will need considerable time to get to know you.
Visiting Masons
If you are a freemason already and would like to visit Point Loma #620, be sure to bring with you your current, valid dues card. If you are not a California Freemason, you should contact The Grand Lodge of California to arrange a visit.

Although not published online, the lodge publishes a monthly news letter. If you are a member but not receiving this newsletter, please contact the lodge to update your information.
Point Loma has a dinner on the 1st Thursday of every month between 6pm and 7pm and is an excellent opportunity to meet some of the brothers and get more information on membership. Wear a suit and tie. Members of the lodge also meet from time to time for social functions outside the lodge. Some of these events are open to prospective members. Inquire for more details.
